After several days of rain this week, I’m happy to report that the leak is completely gone. The whole process was smooth, professional, and efficient. ★Full Disclosure – Review Written During the Project Bathroom Remodel: I'm writing this review before my bathroom remodel is complete because my work schedule leaves me little free time during the week and if there is anyone researching Northstar or looking for a contractor based in NJ don’t hesitate to give them a call. I will update this review with before, during, and after photos once the project is finished. If anything changes, I'll update my review, although based on my experience thus far, I don't expect that to happen. My experience with major remodeling contractors is limited. Northstar is only the fourth contractor I've hired for significant home projects. Like many homeowners, I posted on Nextdoor on June 10, 2026, asking for recommendations of which I received 7 and interviewed 5. Two days later, Luis E. responded, and shortly afterward I received a call from Reinaldo at Northstar Restoration. My bathroom remodel began on July 27 and is currently underway. My condo association is very strict and requires contractors to carry Workers' Compensation insurance for their employees. That was my first concern, and Northstar promptly provided the required documentation so the project could move forward. When hiring contractors, I always think about the renovation horror stories we've all heard. Thankfully, Northstar has been the complete opposite. The owner has assembled a team that is professional, responsive, and knowledgeable, making what could have been a stressful remodel feel organized and manageable. Reinaldo, Leo and Luis arrived on the first day ready to work. Because this is our master bathroom, accessed through our bedroom, they first installed a heavy-duty zippered plastic dust barrier. They keep the area sealed while working, which has kept dust to a minimum, something we've greatly appreciated while living in the home. Since I purchased the fixtures/hard cost materials, there were a few unexpected surprises that had nothing to do with the quality of their work. First, I bought the wrong size black shower niche because I didn't realize different sizes existed. Once the wall was opened, the correct size wasn't available to purchase, so the contractors custom-built one for the project. Second, I purchased a toilet designed for a floor outlet, only to discover my bathroom has a 4-inch wall outlet, making it incompatible so after four hours of searching and calling around I found a distributer in Elmwood Park who was willing to place the order for what I needed. Third, the tub arrived with chrome overflow and drain hardware, while my entire bathroom is black and white. Leo immediately pointed it out before installation. After unsuccessfully searching online, I contacted the manufacturer, who shipped the correct black replacement parts free by two-day FedEx. Had Leo not caught it right away, it could have become a much bigger issue because its needed to test for pipe/tub leakage. Throughout the project, the team has communicated every detail, offered solutions instead of excuses, and treated my home with respect. Their honesty and attention to detail have given me confidence throughout the remodel. The qualities I value most in a contractor are fair pricing, clear communication, responsiveness, quality workmanship, professionalism, integrity, honesty, cleanliness, and respect. So far, Northstar has demonstrated all those qualities. I'm grateful this remodeling journey led me to Northstar and look forward to hiring them again. I'll update this review with the completed results and photos once the project is finished.

I can’t even say how much we love our new pool! From the first time we met Sam we knew that we wanted Sandals Luxury Pools to do the job. I contacted this company on a Saturday for an immediate damaged siding repair after a deck removal. Luis responded immediately to my texts. By Monday we agreed on a contract and work began on Thursday. He and his partner were very thorough. They went above and beyond to fix the damaged wood and add protective flashing. They cleaned up after themselves and explained the work that was done. We will definitely use them again for cute projects
