I cannot say enough about the cabins here at Prospect Mountain, ours is solid and clean & stocked with cooking supplies, the grounds around the cabins are well maintained & the covered porch is a huge plus, we sat outside during a storm. The office/store staff is helpful & friendly, I highly recommend this campground if you want peace & trees 😎

My partner and I decided to have a camping trip this year and we came across this place. They offer many options for different types of sites, including seasonal. We were camping in a tent and decided on one of their more rustic sites (picnic table on site, fire ring on site, and a water spicket nearby). The site was right along one of the two ponds and was absolutely beautiful. While walking the campground, we realized that it didn't matter what site you picked because no matter what you'll have a good time here. Plenty of amenities, family friendly, and I'm sure everyone wants to know - they keep their bathrooms clean and well maintained. Lol. Yes, some bathrooms are like a fancier style outhouse, but again, they're well maintained and you're camping so what more can you ask for? The staff were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Plus they continually made sure we didn't have questions or if we needed anything. Due to firewood regulations, you do need to purchase your campfire wood at the campground. However, they deliver it right to your site and made it so easy! Plus the fire starters that they sell smell AMAZING! The last thing I want to mention is that we chose a quieter time of year, however, I'm sure they can be bustling during the prime summer months. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to settle for the Summer! Christian and his staff are awesome! 5 star service with the down-home feel of family. Watch sunrises and sunsets from the hilltop while sipping on your favorite beverage, while your furry friends have just as much fun as you! Family and adult friendly! This whole area reminds us of a 'mini Alps' beautiful with abundant wildlife. Highly recommend! Thanks so much Christian!

Our experience was great for the two days we stayed. The store is nice and reckless hall is great too I recommend this place. Fishing was fun kids had a blast we weren't able to try the RC track but next time we will be sure to pack them. Peaceful and open with sites appropriately spaced. Thank you

This was our first time here at this campground and my 2 nephews who are a bit older had a great time with the multitude of activities. We as a family had a great time and the campground was clean and staff were helpful. It is the ending of the season but this was a perfect place to come for this time of year.

We like to utilize KOA camping cabins when we travel and the Pueblo KOA is one of the best we’ve experienced so far. Well maintained grounds with individual shower/bathrooms in pristine condition. Camping cabin was very clean and comfortable with nice amenities (coffee pot with coffee and condiments, microwave and refrigerator). Highly recommend!

Just incredible. From the stunning view to the friendly service, absolutely incredible. Even the fish were jumping out to give a wave of welcome. 🐟 The catfish is bar-none some of the best I've had on the East Coast. I got to talk and listen with the staff in the restaurant. It has been quite some time since I heard employees treat each other like family. Hearing them talk about keeping nearby kids out of trouble and helping older servers with their side-work just about melted my heart. Busy season was coming to an end and you felt how excited some were to get back to teaching. You don't get this kind of experience in the city.

This lovely campground, located about 20 minutes from Charlottesville, was such a beautiful place to stay for a few nights while visiting friends in town. Our site (#32) was PERFECT! This spacious, level gravel pad was easy to back into and lined on both sides with carefully landscaped 5-ft bushes for added privacy. The site also backed right up to a lovely babbling creek and a tree-filled mountain, making us feel very close to nature. During the early evening, you could hear the distant sounds of families gathering and laughing, kids playing ball on the vast manicured lawn, and music playing from the stage. You can tell this is a regular destination for reunions and special times for many people. After dark, the campground goes quiet, and all you hear is a cacophony of nature songs and the breeze in the trees. We bought firewood for the fire pit, even though it was quite warm, simply because it seemed like the right thing to do. The camp road up the mountain reveals a scattering of lovely cabins nestled amongst the tall trees. It made me think of what a lovely experience it would be to get friends and family together and rent several of the cabins to create a little temporary village of my favorite people. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Misty Mountain to other travelers.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff was sooooo nice and the location was great. It’s definitely a cute little cozy cottage that I think is suitable for island vacations. The staff loved on our pup. And we loved how the location was so close to everything. Very clean and comfortable definitely will be coming back!!
